May I take this opportunity to update you on the following developments in our school.

THE START OF THE YEAR AND SCHOOL ENROLMENT.

We wish to thank God for giving us an opportunity to start the programmes of 2014, with great success. All our programmes have picked off quite well with teaching and examinations going on quite smoothly.

We have received form one students and have settled down for serious academic activities. Up to date we enrolled or admitted one hundred and ninty students in Form one. Our current school enrolment is five hundred students and admission is ongoing.

REGISTRATION OF THE SCHOOL AS BOARDING

We wish to inform the general public that our school was officially registered as a mixed Day and Boarding by the ministry of Education Science and Technology with effect from Feb. 19, 2014. Further, our school was has been granted a four streamed status with a maximum student enrolment of six hundred and forty students.

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I note that for quite some time, we have been getting over whelming requests to initiate boarding programme in the school by parents and guardians. We are therefore pleased to inform you that this dream has become a reality.  The boarding programmed has picked up with a lot of success and currently, we have one hundred and fifty boys and girls who are boarders.

ACQUIRING SCHOOL BUS

It is our happiness to inform stake holders and the general public that our school Bus is now ready for delivery to us before March 20th 2014 by the Associated Motors Ltd. The bus is a fifty one seater which we acquired through a loan at the cost of 5.6 million. It is our hope that the acquisition of the bus will contribute to value addition our to school`s performance in KCSE exams and general service delivery to our clients. However we are bound to get difficulties to service the loan for the said bus. In this respect, I wish to make kind appeal to well wishers to come to our rescue by financially supplementing our efforts to repay the bus loan. We are making this appeal especially to   the members of the  Four Hills Association, the area member of parliament for Nyaribari Masaba Hon. Elijah Moindi and the sons and daughters of Chitago and Nyanturago hills who are in the diapora, we have a hope that they will consider our kind appeal.

The above performance translated to an MSS of 8.80. This was an improvement from the year 2012 when our mean score was 8.44. It is worthy noting that the number of university qualifiers through Universities and colleges central placement service rose to 46 students.

I wish to point out that this impressive performance is attributed to strong team work and co-operation amongst stakeholders, hard work, discipline amongst teachers and students, strong spiritual foundation in the school and above all through prayers and God`s favour upon us as a school. I am therefore humbled to most honestly thank our teaching staff, support staff, students, candidates of 2013, Board of Management and PTA led by able Chairmen Messers Giteya Mabiria and Mogire Obaga for able leadership, support both moral and material.

All the above parties worked in collaboration and upheld collective efforts to yield the good results that we are celebrating presently. The details of KCSE 2014 results are posted in our website. We welcome you all to study the results.

In conclusion, once again I wish to pass many thanks to everybody whose input made it possible for Hema Secondary School – Chitago to post an impressive performance in KCSE 2014. Most importantly we thank our Almighty God for every success we enjoy as a school. I appeal for the same spirit of team work in 2014.

May God richly bless you all. Thank you indeed.
